That is the goal My bro is promising a very nice paint job. He told me yesterday he's painted 110 cars since he's worked for Maaco the short amount of time (4-6 weeks).... The customers are always pleased with the result and that includes no buffing or wet sanding

Since we are on a new page, let's start it off with some pics

Finally 2K'd the car. Interior came out really smooth. No more scratches,looks brand new again. Next is to block it all down to get it ready for paint next Sat

Shot some SEM high build primer so we could wash everything down without getting the filler wet.









We were starting to wash the car down when this guy rolled up and wanted to check out my work. He lives down the street and wanted us to take a look at his car and see if we could reshoot it for him. (very clean for its age)

But before we shot the primer I tacked everything down.



Windows masked along with wheel bags



Started shooting the interior. (Yes I put on a respirator)



Jose shot the exterior:



This is how she looks as of now. Very happy with how she looks so far.











Still have 2 very little dings in the driver rear 1/4 that we need to fix but other than that its all good.

this might sound like a dumb question to some. but how do u paint all of the interior of the hatch- without actually stepping inside the car and potentially dirtying the floor u just tacked...
lol just one of thos questions i've never really figured out. but then again i've never shot anything

An EG hatch is a relatively small vehicle so it should be ok to paint from the outside.

Your bro isn't gonna color sand or buff the car? Also, take out those rear windows, if your bro works at a bodyshop he probably has a glass guy, my guy charged $60 to remove the glass, well I should say my second glass guy, the first guy that came out didn't feel confident he could get them out in one peice so I had another guy come do it at the body shop.

I'm leaving that up to him. He'll take them out if necessary. It's not like people will be pulling back the moldings to see if the areas underneath are painted. If they do and I catch them, I'll come up behind them and flick the $hit out of their ear

Hey, I know what that is...mine just came like 2 days ago.
My house is really starting to fill up with parts for my build and i'm running out of room and my girlfriends patience is wearing thin as she would like all the parts out of the living room, spare bedroom, kitchen, bedroom, basement and everywhere else I have parts stashed.

Can you post up the dimensions on that vibrant muffler, Or is there only one for the 3in setup, Also I'm not a HT member, what should I do just shoot him an email?

Also those moldings peel off the 1/4 glass easily so youcan get the paint under there pretty good. Having worked in a body shop I've seen too many people not want to take stuff off there cars for color changes. What you will see most is peeling of the paint in those areas where you couldn't get in there to rough up the old paint and the new paint doesn't like to stick. I know you bro will do a good job though, it's all abou the attention to detail, which you7 seem to be real good at.

I know exactly what you mean. I have a pic of my living room posted in the thread. It was filled with parts along with a bedroom. Now, that the car and most parts are in FL the living room is 10X better looking My ex g/f also blames the car as one of our problems

I believe there is no option for length of the muffler as I just chose the inlet diameter. I would just register on HT. Takes a minute and is the best HONDA forum. K20a is the best for K series research

LoL, gotta find the ones that likes hooking up a car or work it out with you. Sometimes my g/f will come up to me and say you're buying car parts again!?! Also, even my mother tells me to clean up the room and get rid of the parts. Its all in our blood, we will never stop bothering the cars.
