Hey everyone...
Planning on installing a DC5R LSD (oem) into my 06 TSX this weekend. The friend that I bought the LSD from had mentioned swapping the speed gear (not the final drive, I already know to swap that) that's inbetween the diff. and the diff. bearing. Are they all the same? There is no part number for that piece that I can find. Can I just use the one on the LSD already? Or do I need to use the TSX one? Thanks! |

As far as I know, they should be the same. But do not quote me on that.
You can put it in and see if the gear rotates the speed sensor. Stefan

That makes sense. I think it will be a bit more obvious when the case is open, but the friend I bought the LSD from needs that gear for his setup apparently.

Hey Jay, your TSX doesnt use that gear to read speed. TSX uses the mainshaft. ;) Get that sucker installed already!
You can see in this picture where the ring would be installed. ![]()

The TSX speed sensor is picked up off the side of the 3ed gear.
Running 2 weeks now with a 06 civic Si gear set (PNN4) in my TSX case with the Honda LSD. Using dakota SGI-5 box to fix the speed signal. |
