are s2k & k-series coilpacks interchangeable? I read on s2ki that the coilpacks are interchangeable (someone there ran k packs on a s2k @ a roadrace event) but was hoping someone could verify.

if you must know why I am asking - I know someone with a turbo s2k & was wondering if they could test a set of (k-series) okada coilpacks.

thanks in advance

What about AEM coils?

aem coils are the same denso coils used on most sport bikes. they are 2 wire dumb coils and need a cdi or igniter wired to fire them where as the k and f coils are 3 wire smart coils with a built in igniter. coil gets a switched ignition, ground and a trigger from the ecu. 3 wire coils have a built in igniter.
aem coils won't work without either msd cdi or aem c2di. denso coils are 100/1 turn ratio. aem cdi is 520 volts to the coil. so 52k ends up at the end of the plug. I ran that setup on my ctr motor for 4 years and never had an ignition problem. Im hopin i never have a problem with my 05 s2k with coil packs.
